Starting my Indie Hackers Journey by building 12 Micro-Startups in 12 months

I'm going to attempt to do a version of Tiny Projects (https://tinyprojects.dev/) by trying to do a new project and finishing it within 30 days. I have a large amount of business ideas I want to try and having a monthly deadline means I can quickly execute on those ideas and attempt to generate some sort of revenue.

My goal project for this month (June 2022) is Applied Arts Alchemy. I quickly opened an Etsy store to sell 3d printed planters based on Etsy market research tools - with a focus on selling planters created on-demand based on pop culture items (such as LOTR / Pokemon). Although this isn't technically solving a problem, planters for succulents are rapidly growing in demand due to several reasons:

• increased apartment-living
• succulents are small, easy to care for in pots instead of gardens
• indoor plants are great for mental / psychological health
• enhances indoor decor
• collectible aspect of succulents & planters

Some market stats:

• The global flower pots and planters market was valued at $978.70 million in 2020, and is projected to reach $1.5 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2021 to 2030.
• Rapid urbanization has resulted in the shrinking of living spaces, the adoption of vertical gardening utilizes the vertically accessible walls that solves the space limitation issues faced in traditional gardening.
• Houseplants are gaining high traction among millennials (ie. Little succers: https://www.littlesuccers.com.au/)

I envision I could expand into further customisation of the pots; ie by adding names. and add value by providing a better range of filament colours & textures. Branding & marketing is important so I will be figuring that out as well.
