Starting my public SaaS bootstrap journey

Hello indie hackers,

I am excited to start the public journey of bootstrapping a SaaS project for digital artists.

I’ve been thinking and planning (procrastinating) to build my personal project for the last decade:) Last month I finally came up with an idea that didn’t seem to be too big to be implemented.

The idea of the project came from my wife’s need. Recently she made a pivot in her career and became a digital artist. Dina creates beautiful illustrations, prints them, and sells as postcards. At some point managing stock, inventory, client list, and sales became overwhelming. We realised the need for some kind of super simple CRM oriented towards illustrators and digital artists. I did a quick research and couldn’t find a service convenient for a digital artist niche so I suggested building our product and pretty soon we got very enthusiastic about this idea.

Here is the minimal feature set I’m planning for the first MVP version:

1. Upload artworks with title, description, technical image details.
2. Track inventory of every artwork.
3. Add deals (sales) to measure the performance of every artwork.
   Having tons of ideas in my head and the backlog, I am trying hard to limit myself to get MVP landed.
