Starting something new, hoping I can stick with it

i've pushed out so many projects, only to quickly lose interest in marketing them. and that's only including the ones i finish in the first place!

hoping this time is different: https://thriveml.com

it's another jobs board, but in an area with growth potential. the ai jobs boards i've seen focus primarily on research/technical positions. i wanted to create one that focuses on cool ai companies — and include positions across all roles and functions.

here're my rough goals for the next 1–3 months:
Newsletter subscriptions:
- [X] 10 (by end of Dec)
- [ ] 100 (by end of Jan)
- [ ] 500 (by end of Feb)

  • Twitter followers:

    • [ ] 10 (by end of Dec)
    • [ ] 100 (by end of Jan)
    • [ ] 500 (by end of Feb)
  • Paid job postings:

    • [ ] 1 (by end of Jan)
    • [ ] 10 (by end of Feb)

and activities to get there:

  • [] 5 new companies a week (jobs are auto-scraped)
  • [] 25 tweets a week: roughly 5/week day. can be replies, re-tweets, whatever. just don't want to be too obnoxious.
  • [] 1 newsletter a week. most of this is automated, so hoping it's not too hard.
  • [] 2 new blog posts a week. i'm a little torn on this one. on one hand i know seo is a great channel for job boards, but i'm also wary of diluting with mediocre content. requires further exploration.
  • [] product optimizations: though this one can be a pitfall for me. i tend to spend way too much time choosing the right color and less time on useful marketing.

posting here to keep me honest. in the meantime, would appreciate any feedback or ideas! 🙏 also happy to answer any questions.
