Starting to build my first Saas!
Hey, this is my first time posting on IH but have been lurking around here for quite a while now.
I was trying hard to find a good saas idea, it's been few weeks but finally I've decided what I'm going to be building.
I've decided that I'll build a SMM tool.
I don't have any concrete planning on how I'm going to achieve the desired outcome but I'm really motivated to do so.
So here's a start to my journey of building my first saas product, hopefully you all will like it!

Quick question, what does SMM stand for? Social Media Marketing?

First validate the need than go on building. Create a landing page with all the features that you think you will be building and than talk to your customers. Ask them if they will pay for this tool if you build it for them. Start after you get the confirmation.
The only confirmation is when they actually pay. Building something useful from the very first iteration is the best way to get the validation you're looking for.
Hm, this sounds like a good approach to me. I'll try building a landing page with expected features plus will try to get their email to potentially get back to them when I'm done with v1 of my product.

i meant after collecting their emails and if there are enough people i'll start building the product and once i'm done with it i can target the same people to start with who gave me their email

I just needed this product for my own comfort so I thought why not make it as a saas instead, although there are too many competitors in this niche but hope for the best!
