Startup Launches Are Changing: Product Hunt Alone Is No Longer Enough

Startup Launches Are Changing: Product Hunt Alone Is No Longer Enough

I spent the last few days researching startup launch platforms and realized something interesting:

Most founders still think launching = Product Hunt.

But the ecosystem has changed a lot.

Today there are entire launch/distribution networks built around:

  • backlinks

  • SEO

  • AI discoverability

  • founder ecosystems

  • long-term indexing

Platforms like:

  • Product Hunt

  • Aura++

  • Uneed

  • Fazier

  • StartupBase

  • IndieHunt

  • MakerHunt

  • SideHunt

  • EarlyHunt

  • BetaList

all solve different parts of the discoverability problem.

What’s becoming obvious is:

The best founders no longer optimize for a single launch day.

They optimize for:
→ searchable presence
→ AI visibility
→ backlink ecosystems
→ community distribution
→ founder authority

A launch is slowly turning into “internet indexing infrastructure” rather than just traffic generation.

Honestly feels like we’re entering a new era where:
“Can AI discover and understand your startup?”
will matter as much as Google rankings.

Curious:
What launch platforms actually worked best for you?
