You should make sure to SvelteKit (Sapper)! Definitely my personal go to nowadays, as I much prefer Svelte over React or Vue or whatever else.

Ah is that what they're calling it (watched the vid a while ago) I knew they was replacing sapper.
For people knowing Ruby, I recommend staying with Jekyll. I wrote about my transition out of WordPress. If you really need "modern front-end", there is a Jekyll fork Bridgetown.

I guess they both have their upsides. Some people smarter than me have been moving towards next.js, so i think I’ll stick to that for some time now.
yeah...next is on fire these days...but I hear a lot of exciting dev stuff for Gatsby will be soon out.
