Step-by-step backlink strategy - anything fool-proof for 2023?

Hi IH Community,

I appreciate everyone's feedback in my previous post about driving traffic to our website (https://maestrolabs.com/) through SEO and several have pointed out that, aside from just pushing out articles, we need to start building backlinks as well to boost seo ranking.

This being said, does anyone in the community have any step-by-step process on how they build backlinks? I literally have 0 idea on what's the first thing to do, not to mention how much budget should we expect to spend in building this.

Couldn't find any articles for dummies online, but if anyone can point me to the right direction, that would be fantastic!
