It’s been a minute since we last posted here — but we never stopped building.
Since that last update, we’ve crossed $500 MRR, tightened the product, and learned a ton about what actually moves the needle.
Reached $500 in monthly recurring revenue (100% organic)
Verified 100s of founder → investor intros through the platform
Brought on a technical co-founder and scaled down external dev costs
Doubled down on cold outreach, founder-led sales, and user feedback loops
Slow growth is underrated. It gave us space to build trust with early users and fix core issues.
Retention > virality. Our stickiest users are the ones who immediately get value from intros or smart matches — not just lurk.
Positioning matters. Framing ourselves as a curated, vetted, and spam-free founder/investor network changed everything.
We're pushing toward our first 1,000 users and $1k MRR.
Next priorities:
Sharpening onboarding + activation flows
Adding Communities: our largest and most requested feature to date
Leaning into Midwest + underserved founder communities
And continuing to learn from every user conversation
If you’re building a marketplace, a SaaS with a network effect, or a founder community — would love to hear your biggest retention insight.
Also happy to jam if you’re stuck at the early-MRR phase. Been there. Still there.
Grateful to be part of the IH community — let’s keep building. 🙌
