I was thinking of creating a stock market news aggregator where you can
- add stocks to watchlist
- choose and filter different sources of news
- and more..
Do you think people would be interested in a new service that allows them to effortlessly stay in touch with the news related to their money?
That's a pretty cool idea, though I don't have the skills to carry it off. It reminded me of the story about a hedge fund that estimated retail revenues by counting vehicles in parking lots. This would be huge if it worked. Hey Filip, there are a few of these kind of services already available and well established. There's also a lot of hustles.
One of the most popular non-hustles on the street is ADVFN. The problem I have with ADVFN is that it is so absolutely choked with advertising and pay walls that unless you are shown how to maximise use out of it, you'll end up lost before you start!
It's a saturated market, but there is definitely scope to do better in terms of transparency and user interface design.
