An indie hacker needs to be a generalist.
I don't think that's true. You do have to do a bunch of stuff, but to go far, best to have strengths that help you outshine the big dogs.

Makes sense!
I've tried so hard but I can't. I'm so curious about so many things, I just can't seem to narrow down. I love human languages, programming, drawing, math, marketing, psychology and more.
At each point in life I keep getting pulled (by myself) in a dozen directions. The best I can do is get consumed by something for a few years where I have equity in the outcome.
Then it's time to move on, learn something new and pursue another challenge.
It's not ideal economically, but I am who I am.
Sounds like what you're doing could be a form of unique specialization: you have a lot of varied interests which make you different. Depending on your goals, this might actually be a great move for you!
