Every time I read PDFs, I found myself copying useful lines — only to constantly switch apps just to paste and save them. It broke my focus, wasted time, and sometimes I even lost what I had copied.
That pain point made me build PDF Snippets — a lightweight Android app that automatically saves anything you copy from a PDF directly inside the app.
No switching between apps
No worrying about losing copied text
All your snippets stay organized in one place
I made it for myself, but I know I can’t be the only one with this problem.
I’d love your feedback — would you use this? What features would make it more valuable (online resources integration, export options, text-to-speech, translation, etc.)?
Try it out and let me know what you think!

Nice work! This is actually a real pain point — I’ve lost copied snippets from PDFs so many times.
A feature idea: export directly to Notion/Obsidian or even just auto-tag snippets by document name. That would make it super powerful for students/researchers.
Congrats on shipping — will give it a try 👏
Really appreciate that! Losing snippets was exactly the pain point that pushed me to build this. Export and auto-tagging are both on my radar — I think they’d be a huge boost for students and researchers. Excited to hear your feedback once you give it a try.
This sounds super useful! I can definitely see how losing copied text from PDFs can break focus.
For professional use, I’ve noticed tools like Teamcamp help keep teams organized and reduce context-switching when managing tasks and notes. kind of the same principle but for projects. Having your snippets organized in one place could pair really well with a workflow like that.
Would love to see export options and maybe integration with note-taking or project tools it could make it even more seamless.
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! You’re absolutely right—losing copied text breaks focus, and that’s exactly the gap I wanted to solve. Export options and integrations are definitely on my radar, since they could make workflows smoother for students, researchers, and professionals alike. Really appreciate you sharing this perspective!
ash005 - PDF Snippets is such a clever solution to that "lost copied text" frustration we've all experienced.
I was looking at your site and noticed you don't collect emails before downloads. From working with similar productivity apps, I've found that users who share their email upfront tend to stick around 3x longer because you can help them discover all the useful features.
Just a thought in case you're thinking about user retention down the line.
Either way, really like what you've built!
Thank you so much, Meryem! That’s really helpful feedback. I hadn’t thought about the retention side of collecting emails, but it makes a lot of sense. I’ll definitely keep this in mind as I improve PDF Snippets. Appreciate you taking the time to share your insight!
You're very welcome!
The retention piece is exactly where most app developers miss huge opportunities. When users give their email, you can guide them to discover advanced features they might otherwise miss.
If you decide to implement email collection, I'd be happy to help design a simple 3 email welcome sequence that would:
If you'd like me to send over some specific frameworks, feel free to DM me your email.
No pressure at all, the offer stands whenever you're ready.
Either way, excited to see PDF Snippets grow!
