πŸ˜₯ Stop losing customers and grow your SaaS business πŸš€

Hi indie hackers,

I want to talk about customer churn and how you can prevent it and what you do to retain your customers through automation.

A high customer churn rate is a major problem for every business, no matter how small or large. Every business faces it and loses a lot of revenue and customers who believed in their product and tried it.

Let me explain with an example:

If you have 1000 customers at any given time and 50 left in a month, your churn rate for that month is 5%. If every customer pays you $50 for each membership, then you are losing $2500 monthly. Annually, it will be $30,000.

What if you have a 10% churn?
Some companies face a 30-40% churn rate. How big is this number, and how much money are you losing?

Now that you understand the churn rate and how it's affecting your business, let's discuss the reasons for high customer churn, such as:

  • High prices
  • Low quality
  • Poor service
  • No need for further
  • Lack of tool knowledge
  • Complicated processes
  • Extra charges

First, you need to understand the major problem.

Once you know the base reason for high customer churn, try to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Can you reduce it to zero?

The short answer is no, but can you reduce it?

Churnfree is a customer retention tool that helps reduce high customer churn. It's easy to integrate with Churnfree, and when the user presses the membership cancel button, it starts working immediately. It tries to prevent the customer from canceling the request by offering them a personalized offer that you create with Churnfree.

If the user agrees to the offer, you have saved your customer. But if the user does not accept the offer, Churnfree asks for the reason why they are leaving, and this helps you understand what is wrong with your product.

Churnfree can save up to 46% of churned requests.

Let's understand this with numbers: if you receive 100 membership cancellation requests out of 1000, then Churnfree can save approximately 46 customers in a month. You can imagine how significant this number is and how much money you can save.

Try customer retention tool churnfree today for your product's growth!

Curious to know how you estimate the churn rates in your service?

I've read an great article on that matter a few months ago "You are calculating churn rates wrong" about using Survival Curves to properly estimate this KPI and account for users loyalty increasing with time.

@peteralaoui Its a good article shared on CatchJS but I want to add there are multiple ways to calculate the churn rate like (Lost Customers in a specific period Γ· Total Customers at the Start of a specific period) x 100.

If you want to read more about SaaS churn rate in-depth then you can read this post it will cover all topics like

      • churn rate,
      • churn rate revenue,
      • net churn rate,
      • MRR churn rate,
