Spent months doing what everyone tells you: cold emails, LinkedIn DMs, Twitter outreach.
Barely got responses. Felt like shouting into the void.
Then I tried something different.
The shift:
Instead of finding people to contact, I started finding people already asking for help.
Someone posts “Does anyone know a good lead gen tool?” on Reddit at 2am.
I reply by 2:15am.
They sign up by morning.
Why this works:
You’re not interrupting their day. You’re answering a question they literally just asked.
They’re in buying mode. You showed up at the exact right moment.
What I built:
LeadSynth AI automates this 24/7. Monitors Reddit, X, LinkedIn for buying signals. Detects intent. Engages automatically.
We literally use our own product to grow itself. The irony isn’t lost on me.
The unlock:
Your next customer is posting about their problem right now. While you’re drafting cold emails, they’re finding solutions elsewhere.
Set up alerts. Monitor conversations. Reply fast.
That’s the entire distribution strategy.
Building in public. Zero ad spend. Just showing up when people need us.
Anyone else ditch traditional outreach for real-time monitoring?
Great idea. Worth trying)
Did you manage to try it out?
I'm definitely sick of cold emailing at this point. This sounds like a good alternative that is actually targeting people that are looking for specific solution. Nice approach.
Glad to hear that. Did you manage to try it out?

This is such a smart shift. Cold outreach fights for attention people don’t want to give—but responding to someone already looking for a solution is pure signal. Timing becomes the differentiator, not copywriting gymnastics. Automating that awareness across Reddit, X, and LinkedIn is a real advantage because most teams simply can’t monitor 24/7. Love that LeadSynth is literally growing by using LeadSynth—perfect proof of value. Real-time intent > traditional outreach, and the gap is only getting wider.
Thank you, did you try it out?
This is very valid. Lots of people are able to build, but can’t get the users. The problem with reddit is that you’re up against a community who absolutely hate promotion, so I see your approach here as a nice middle ground where someone is already asking for a solution to a problem versus unsolicited marketing.
It’s funny that there was a moment you realised your product could solve your own problem. Better sooner than later.
Yeah AHAH, did you try it out?
lets go!!!!
One organic strategy that’s worked every single time with the SaaS founders I’ve helped is this:
They don’t wait for the product to launch to “start marketing.”
They build distribution and trust while they’re building the product.
Here’s what the best ones do in parallel:
1. Document the problem space publicly.
They write about the pain points, workflows, misconceptions, and root causes.
Google loves this — it builds topical authority before the product even exists.
2. Publish across multiple platforms.
Reddit, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, Indie Hackers.
This creates dozens of signals pointing back to their expertise and their upcoming product.
3. Explain their thinking out loud.
Instead of teasing features, they explain why they're building the product this way.
They become the “trusted expert” in that niche, not just another tool launch.
The compounding effect is insane:
Google starts associating the founder + product with the entire problem category.
Early users discover them through content (warm intent).
Communities already trust them by the time the product ships.
By launch, they already own the keywords, the conversations, and the narrative.
For SaaS — which is naturally inbound-heavy — this beats cold outreach any day.
It feels like “brand building,” but it’s actually pre-launch distribution that compounds on autopilot.
Appreciate the insights and the advice!
