A few weeks back, one of our customers came up with a requirement for off-session charging.
They are running an AI product that works purely on credits.
Once a customer runs out of credits, they want to charge them $10 and add 1,000 credits to their account.
In a typical SaaS product, off-session charging was not a mandatory thing because most SaaS products were designed to be sold for a fixed monthly charge.
But that is not the case anymore.
Now, with the rise of AI products, people subscribe to a product, and companies want to charge their customers whenever they run out of credits.
Now Kelviq completely supports off-session charging. Merchants can charge their customers and add credits to their accounts without going through the checkout flow, just by using the customer's saved payment method, like a credit card.
It also opens up Kelviq to more AI companies using advanced commitment models where customers commit to a certain amount of usage or credits and can purchase more as they consume them.

Makes sense. Are you planning to charge for it, or keep it free for now?

Great breakdown. What feedback have you had from early users?
Love this angle. Building Xstream4K right now so this hits close to home — what made you look into it in the first place?
Have other AI companies requested similar off-session charging workflows, or is the strongest demand still coming from customers already using credit-based pricing?
Yes we are still getting request from multiple others customer too about how they can charge their customers on demand without going through checkout flow
That gives you a stronger demand signal. Could be worth continuing this over email sometime, if you’re open to it.
