My cofounder is my significant other! Some would advise against it, but it works for us :) and he's the only person I would want to take the adventure with. We overcame a bunch of communication tussles that were just a result of different opinions and passionate takes.
Oh that is lovely to hear! Would you say that working together also improved your personal relationship communication-wise? Do you feel the dynamics of your relationship dictated the dynamics of your work-relationship? (I hope I am not asking something too personal! If so, I apologize!)

Definitely improved our personal relationship communication wise! It just gave us more practice to listen to each other and hear each other's sides. In the end, if we can't come to an agreement, we listen to whoever feels more strongly about the topic. I find that carries to outside topics too!
The dynamics of our work-relationship are largely determined by our skills! He's the developer and I take on most of the design and marketing. So a lot of the times, I take the lead on our UX while he'll take the lead on engineering and product.
