Hi! A brief introduction to how we go about finding customers.
Searching for websites that are local, looking through their web pages, and providing feedback on what we think is bad on their website.
We also include a website that we create that we think is better as an "example". The way we do this is to use a Bootstrap framework and create something simple for the customer. The customer then says that this is interesting and we are commissioned to design the website.
My question is:
How can we streamline these drafts that we send to customers so that we have time to follow up on other customers?
Hi Meglerhagen,
A while back I was working with a digital agency that followed a similar pattern for finding new clients as you've outlined; However, instead of creating a sample website, we would just look for a template and use Adobe Illustrator plus Adobe Photoshop to replace the default items with the potential client's logos and information. Then, this design was inserted into a ready-made Microsoft Powerpoint presentation, converted into a PDF and emailed to the client with an estimate and other details.
Total time taken to put together a new "pitch" using this method was maybe 5-10 minutes to find a relevant design and 5-10 minutes superimposing client data.
You may be interested in using a similar technique to save time.
I hope this help and feel free to ask for more details if required.
