Hi guys,
Up until now, I've used my blog to write angry and cynical posts. This time I've decided to show some weakness and talk about stress and anxiety in entrepreneurship.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
Hey man.
The comment about the hospital helping friend is actually very good and inspirational.
I believe we are made for a positive interaction with others and I have experienced having most joy in my life when I have seen my words and deeds impacting other people’s lives for better with my time, money and energy.
I do not recommend donating as being good. This is pretty impersonate. It is something you can give, but if you use it in a way to buy yourself time, in order to spend it with others and bless them in their needs, in case notice that giving them something could really help, would be a much better approach. Yet be wise, don’t buy people what they want, rather what they really need. People are mostly poor in the first place, by mixing those two things.
Back to to you: gain wisdom above all things, and make yourself useful in the society where you are at by truly loving people. This will give joy to your bones and you will sleep thankful and in peace.
Hit me up if you need some help or guidance.
I'm not a millionaire, but I'm a twenty-something making way too much money for my age. It certainly adds a layer of guilt to negative emotions, which encourages self-doubt and self-judgment. I find myself putting myself down for not feeling happy all of the time, because I don't have any of the financial stress that all of my friends talk about.
I actually told a friend how much I make, and now when I bring up depression or anxiety, they basically ask "How? You make so much money!"...
It's a lot of pressure. Happiness is some function with a heavily weighted noise variable, and you have to constantly tweak the variables. You have to constantly put in work, and adjust your decision making, your perspective, your habbits, your hobbies, all to keep up. That's just how life works I think.
Hey Adam, thanks for sharing your thoughts. A person very well known to me was in a similar position to you. He worked and got paid more than he actually needed. I am not sure how it all began for him but he started helping a hospital and a home which treats children with cancer. Rather than just donating money, he goes to the hospital to talk with the moms and children, understand their worries/issues and assists them in whatever way possible. He even has raised funds for the hospital through his contacts. His friends see the work he does and come forward to donate as well.
I got the chance to spend time with him in the hospital with the kids a few times, it's a great experience that makes you take a step back in life to re-think about a lot in life. It makes you very humble, your heart very light and a feeling that you are doing the right thing in life.
Just to add to the points above, I am not suggesting you should give money to charities. Just a suggestion that spending a little of your time taking part in something good and valuable will make you feel great.
I think you make a great point, and I think I definitely don't do enough volunteering, charity, or even just human connection. It's about reflecting outward (I'm a very introspective person), and strengthening that empathy muscle, and connecting with people.
I have been trying to look for ways to do this that make sense, but maybe I need to try harder. Appreciate your thoughts!

It's not the high income that is making me unhappy, it is the feeling of being trapped by the high income. Part of it is that I actually have to support my mother, so in some ways I need the higher income (and that contributes to feeling a bit trapped).
What I really need to do is find a job that provides me more fulfillment and feeling of impacting people — I think, anyway.
