Stripe doesn't work in my country - what's the next best alternative?

As the title states, I live in a country that stripe doesn't support at the moment - Israel.

I don't have an American bank account, and I don't think I have a way of opening one.
What's the next best option for charging customers on my SaaS ?

I tried using Gumroad, but there are things I don't like about it and I feel it's more for digital products (you can download), and not as fit for a SaaS subscription.

Have to take a look on Paddle and Lemonsqueezy?

👌🏻 Gee, thanks!! They both look great, and seem to support Israel.
I hope they're easy as stripe to integrate. I'll check that soon..

Paddle definitely easy to integrate but please make sure you read their rules first:

Make sure your site is not violent their rules. Otherwise, your submitted domain verification will be rejected.

I simply cannot believe Stripe doesn't yet work in Israel. My impression has always been that Tel Aviv is the Silicon Valley of that region (North Africa / Middle-East).

It is, but there are a few reasons they don't work here (i think) -

      1. The bureaucracy in the financial system here in Israel is a nightmare.
      2. This isn't really a problem for big startups or companies that have even a small seed, since Stripe has a service called Atlas that sets up a US entity based in Delaware for you without needing to be a US citizen. This service cost ~$1000 i think, and it's not something I want to invest on my own for a small side project I'm working on.
      3. Every successful 'indie hacker' I found that's Israeli, doesn't live in Israel 😆. Israel is a very expensive country to live in, so making it here on your own as an indie hacker is difficult.
