Stripe keeps terminating my account
Hello everybody,
I am building an ecommerce platform allowing shops to sell their items through premade templates.I signed up on Stripe months ago and on 17/4/2020 i tried activating my account only to get an immediate rejection email stating that i was violating their ToS.
I sent my application on 03:38 AM and got rejected at 03:38AM.In their message they state that after a thorough review they decided that i was violating their ToS.After a back and forth with multiple support agents,they keep copy pasting the same message and saying that the decision is irreversible and basically kick rocks.
My business is not even launched how could i even violate their ToS?
Usually Stripe is really open to anything, with a few exceptions. I believe your business could fall into one of the categories that they restrict, or at least you might have described it that way, with automatically triggers Stripe's detectors.
Money transmitting. If the primary use of your app is to process payments without much overhead, that could be a conflict of interest. Business can already sell their products through Stripe's premade templates.
Illegal products. If your ToS doesn't restrict sellers from selling cannabis, erotic content or illegal services, that may be too risky for Stripe.
They actively restrict no-value-added services. You might need to emphasize the ability of your template builder, as redirecting payments might not be enough value alone.
Just some ideas why you are clearly getting auto-blocked here. The chat support is quite helpful usually, so get out of the emails, and try calling or chat.

What do you mean with "Business can already sell their products through Stripe's premade templates."I am not aware of that feature and looking at Stripe's site doesn't net me anything.You mean that they can set up a site through Stripe and sell their products?Or through invoicing clients?I know only for the second way.
On the 2nd point,it could be a possibillity.However, i have not sent them my website since it's not finished.Instead i sent them my twitter profile(which they suggest if you do not have website yet).So i couldn't provide my ToS.
And lastly, i did say that it was similar to Shopify,Wix etc... so hopefully they understood what my business model was but it is possible that i could have been more indepth.
However,their response left no jiggle room.I was not allowed to explain my business any further nor were they able to tell me the reason why i am not accepted.
I tried contacting via support but hear this!If i am logged in with my unactivated account i am not able to chat or phone call,only email.If i log in with a test account i am able to contact them via chat.Which i did but they said that they are going to forward my request to an Expert and they would respond to me via email.

Well, the easiest would be to build a landing page and make a new account ;) You can already see that there may be some wiggle room and you are driving close to their restricted businesses. I think the equivalent of Shopify should be fine, but maybe hosted checkout pages are too basic?
Also, the new checkout from Stripe allows you to generate client-only checkout pages https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout
That will be my next step :PHowever i fear that they will see the same name and flag me as a spammer that changes accounts?
My platform is not a hosted checkout page.It's a whole platform as stated previously :)Shops choose their theme,upload pictures,add products,handle orders,talk to customers,look at statistics.I think there is a quite a value on what i am offering,albeit the same as Shopify which speaks more for my validity than anything else.

Hi,
I have thought about using PayPal but they lack the tools for my business.Stripe has Stripe Connect.PayPal does have Paypal Commerce Platform but it's invite only.I might have to try to get in but it's unlikely

Hi,
My business needs that Stripe satisfies is their :
Stripe Payments,Stripe Billing and Stripe Connect.
Now,PayPal in intself supports payments and with a workaround you can get split payments between you and the seller,however it's not optimal.You can probably set it up,however it would be a hacky job and open my self to PCI DSS compliance hurdles.As i have stated they do have Paypal Commerce Platform,which probably ticks all of the above however it's invity only i think and you need to be a registered business which i am not
