Stripe’s self-serve portal released 💳

Admittedly I'm a huge coding newb. I've spent the past 5 hours researching, testing, and epically failing to get this going on my Wordpress site.

I'm going to keep fighting through this until I get it. My needs are simple and I know I got this. Just needed to put it out in the universe to relax a bit :-)

<3 Stripe, this took about half an hour to set up and probably saved a week of coding and edge cases 😄

I almost built a whole customer portal just for this!

This really came in the nick of time.

Implemented it today already at Betterfolio and can only say that the integration was very smooth 👌

This looks awesome! This would've been really convenient when I was launching The Agent Nest. We tried rolling our own billing solution, and it was fairly challenging. Especially since we are a front end only SaaS. We ended up using ServiceBot, and are very happy with it.

I'm curious how this will effect ServiceBot's business? I'm wondering if @darafsheh would be willing to share his plan on going forward now that Stripe is a direct competitor?

• "yay"
• I go to access Portal and am told I am using the legacy 'free' Billing and cannot access it unless I switch to the paid Billing
• "wtf there's a paid verion?"
• I lookup details on Stripe Billing paid version, where they charge an extra half a percent... but only after you have processed over $1 million in recurring payments
  "So I am in this free tier but am being gated, because I don't know how to switch my account. Screw it, I'll add my own Cancel Subscription button in my app Dashboard"
