Hi everyone,
I'm looking for feedback and hopefully provide some value with the info product I've created - https://strategybank.io
It's called Strategy Bank and is a segmented collection of marketing resources by a specific topic, filled with guides, softwares, chrome extensions and templates for marketing people to use.
I'm stuck with taking it to the next step and would like to hear what people think of it when they navigate and if they think it's valuable at all?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and checking it out.
Who's your target market? In that market, who's the specific "slice" you're going to market to first?
Based on not knowing much about you and what you're doing, this is what I would do:
If you have something to sell, I would immediately stop developing/adding content and go make some sales in a 1-1 manner. Hit up Facebook groups, Linkedin, etc. and find some early adopters (even if you give away for free or at a discount) to get proof that people are benefiting (or even want it, if it isn't validated yet) and then use that in your marketing moving forward.
Is it indie hackers? If so - perhaps stay active here and in other relevant places and just be a genuinely helpful person for general strategy, and then use the info product as a "If you want more..." continuation.
Ok thanks, referring people to the info product is a good idea. I have validated it by using it with current consultancy clients (marketing professionals) although, key target market I want is for students but I haven't validated it with them yet. Cheers.
Cool site Russell! It seems like it was built no-code style if I'm not wrong?
Hey thanks, yes it was. I did it on Notion then used super.so to connect to domain. Although super.so takes away a bit of the key search functionality so still finding solutions for this
And: Add a little bit about yourself, your backstory, and the value that you offer to clients.
Yes totally agree. I have a video planned which I will do and give more context/backstory. Thanks
Good stuff! I would now add something to be able to interact with visitors. Let's say, a newsletter, or a chat widget, or a "strategist club" ...
Yes, chat widget, I like that.
MrRussell,
Congratulations on completing the huge step of compiling all of this information! It's a huge part of getting info products established and where most people end up giving up as they realize it's more work that they thought.
Can I ask, who have you spoken too that needed this product? Do they have any feedback? You said it's for marketing people - so I would ask you, which ones?
If you can start conversations with a couple people who really need the resource, you can make sure your messaging around it speaks to the way they think about the issue you're trying to solve.
Also, what are some of the specific issues you're facing?
Cheers,
Ryan
Thanks Ryan, yes, I didn't realise how long it would take when it just a humble google sheet!
I have spoken to many people in marketing, from clients and fellow professionals. To other marketing freelancers some say it is not for them because they only search really specific issues. Others it's helpful because they don't offer Paid Ads on social for example they just do management so now these resources help in an upsell capacity.
Students I have yet to share it with but I have 2 universities in mind that I'm working with where I can start.
Marketing people are mainly freelancers offering one or two type of marketing services but could easily upsell into more i.e. organic social management to paid social ads.
The issue I'm facing really is how to price and sell it to be honest.
How much would someone pay is my challenge atm.
Mark
Mr Russell,
Pricing is a whole strategy in of itself. I wrote some thoughts up today if it helps.

Is there a specific issue you're having determining where to start on pricing? I will do what I can to help here.
Awesome, will give this a read, I appreciate the help.
