Stuck in a build loop....

Hi all

Writing this more from an accountability perspective, but looking for any input, thoughts or perspectives....

Earlier in the year, I responded to a post in a seperate group where someone was looking for a technical co-founder for an adventure travel startup.

The travel space is somewhere I've worked in the past professionally and its a space that interests me, its perhaps not the typical Indie Hacker space from searching some of the forums in the past.

Quite early on I began to play around with a technical design and knocked together a quick proof of concept using Django.

Over a number of conversations with the potential co-founder we established that we probably had slightly different aspirations and agreed to keep in touch but explore our areas of interest separately.

After a pause over the summer, I've gone on to flesh out the proof of concept further and have the core functionality of a two way marketplace.

At the moment I'm still in a builders mindset working on the technical detail - this is natural as its what I do on a day to day.

For the time and effort I've put in to this project so far, I now need to switch hats and start talking to owner operators to establish some of their pain points and begin to build out the types of tools and features that will help attract them.

Has anyone else come up against similar internal resistance?

How did you manage to overcome the whole coldstart problem for a two sided marketplace?

What are the best and quickest ways to start getting user feedback?

I wrote about two way marketplace SaaS products and problems here in the link.

The post also covers about a few SaaS products that help in building marketplaces.

Thank you I'll take a look!
