Stuck in development, in need of advice!

Hi everyone,

I've just started project (I am software dev), and would like to get it out! It happened to me in the past that I would give up in the middle of it, due to technical challenges, lack of time, and admittedly, fear of failure!

This time I want it to be different. I want to release it anyhow. I believe, this will help me for future projects as well.

Now, I am a bit stuck in how to continue and could use some help from someone that already went through this.

I didn't gathered too much feedback, I started with a dream idea, and continue creating some prototypes. Now, I would like to ask a designer to create some designs for me, also to picture a bit better how the end result would look like.

I have some concrete questions around the process:

• Should I now start getting feedback from possible target users? I am aware this could be helpful, but sometimes, people don't give the right feedback, and I don't want to get lost in details.
• Should I create a landing page with a subscription list, to gauge what's the potential interest? Or just release whatever I have?
• Do you guys/girls measure user interaction from the get go? Is this a waste at the beginning?

AROUND MONETIZATION (right now, my biggest doubt), I have so far 2 possible options:

1. Marketplace. For my idea to work, I need certain audience to create content. Then, these creators should ask their audience to "pay them a coffee" or similar to get their content.
2. Ads. All content will be available, and ideally ads get to pay at least the hosting, etc.

What is the feasibility of these 2 options? For the marketplace idea, do I need a special PSD2 license in order to receive payments? Is this a legal hell?
