Subcolumn — publishing platform for technical blogs

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. I can see some awesome how-tos being created. I'll be following along.

Website:
The google feedback form implementation is really cool. I love the simplicity of implementation, to get most valuable thing for your product- user feedback.

It took me some time when skimming the page find out "where I am", later I noticed banner at left, which explains. This may be the first thing you want to people see, placing it more prominently (e.g. box with white background) may help people to faster anchor the look.

Also sign in / Sign up wiredly change states when selecting each one. Maybe grouping them under one Sign in page, with both options would be more practical in your case

Product:
I see your point building a documentation site you would love to use. But what is so cool about your product, people will be excited to use? I couldn't grasp that from the website, but remember I am a designer, so not your primary audience. Focusing on such things developers would love and appreciate may really help you with that. It may be also emotional things - such making a code look sexy.

The best way to find out is using jobs to be done framework. (Intercom has published good free ebook on that). You as a developer certainly know what steps you need to take to make a good project documentation, looking into each steps separately may help you discover little spaces for feature ideas and improvements, which may boost your workflow, and maybe bring value to others.

Finding such valid points may be the first thing you may want to focus. Then promotion of it within the tool becomes just copy paste :)
