Subscriptions using SMS
Hello IH,
I am looking for any services that are using SMS to send content to the subscribers OR the ones considering to move away from an email-based subscription to something on mobile.
e.g. A few days back I came across a fitness program that sends a 7-min workout every day using SMS to their subscribers.
Any pointers would help !
I'm building a platform for non-email subcription/newsletter services; while still using the html-based messaging that emails are known for. So that means no sms though.
It'll be opt-in. People won't be able to send you content unless you subscribed - because spam sucks. I may build in the option of being cold-contacted though, and these messages would show up somewhere other than your Inbox - and will likely be text-only for security purposes.
Cool - spam would surely drive the users away so that issurely a factor, but my main challenge remains to onboard Whatsapp as a channel. Were you able get the api access or going through one of their partners ?
At this point, whatsapp isn't part of my plan, so I haven't looked into their api.
