We are using Substack for VimTricks right now but trying to move off of it. Precisely because the platform is so limited in terms of design and capabilities.

Compare the Substack landing page: https://vimtricks.substack.com/
    With our new one: https://vimtricks.com

    Which is more compelling?

Hey @cbartlett I like the website more. Love your dark theme!

        Nice content too @jayyoms

I keep mine pretty minimalist - and make it pop with pink Vibez ☺️ thelandofrandom.substack.com

Looks good to me, although I believe you can do even better with more unifyed/systematized approach to visual elements.

Thats neat @thelandofrandom - like your content too!

I’m still figuring my design out and don’t have a logo yet, but I don’t plan on any real “visuals” or images for my newsletter.

I’m planning to have informational briefs for the analytical types, specially on deciphering the cybersecurity product market for investors and enterprise buyers:

Totally agree. I think you don't need to over-design. Content matters :) @MikePrivette

I'd love to hear your feedback on my series too https://virtualmojito.substack.com/

Just keeping it super basic with the accent colour of in-your-face orange. I write snippets about culture, current affairs, and cool stuff twice a week.

Wasn't aware Substack offered ability to customize 🙈. I write about product lessons here: productlessons.substack.com

Here is the super "avant garde" design of mine.

.....there's no easy way....to style it...

@Michael_Andreuzza I think you did a great job! Nice design, simple and good content!

        Thanks Felix, how kind!

This last design is the new one, it's been a bit different before, with images and less resources.

I am glad you like it ! Have a great day.

We use Substack for our recently started newsletter: https://district.substack.com/

Substack is a limited bare-minium platform to help you run newsletters. We are working on our in-house platform to do the same which will also provide some additional capabilities to launch webpages/resources online directly instead of sending them as an email.

Mine's been going for just under a month - https://moneytalk.substack.com/

It's looking pretty on brand from the landing page right now, if a little monotonous

  11. 1

Not much you can do with the design, not sure that is a good or bad thing at this point.

It basically picks up the first image in your newsletters/posts, so choose them wisely.

Here's mine which I'm not too happy with, but I lack time to improve it right now. https://rosieland.substack.com/

Thanks for sharing @rosiesherry - totally, a nice first image and good color palette does make the difference. Like your content for sure :)
