Suggestions for an INTERNAL wiki app?
Can anyone suggest some apps for an internal wiki? Basically a simple and clean knowledgebase for team only for team members/employees.

Would not recommend Mediawiki. Harder to setup, hard to administer, and it does not look or work super well.

I used Confluence at a company a few years ago. Didn't enjoy it too much, hopefully they have improved the offering.

If your employees are in the Google world Google sites is usable. They just updated it recently. That's what we use in our company.
We use github as an internal wiki. Works pretty well and a lot of our guys are used to it.
How do you organize things with it? Issues? Gists?
Hey Josh,
We organize it into subfolders with markdown files for each department/service we are describing. We also internally list previous work that we have done.
For additions anyone in the company can add to the repo and it goes through a Pull Request process just as you would do with code. It allows for easier open collaboration across all departments at the company.
Github has a wiki option (I personally haven't used it so I don't know how good it is)
