Suggestions on embeddable Live chat / Support software

Need suggestions on what people are using for Live chat / Support software that work across both web and mobile?

Something akin to Intercom or Crisp (but not these 2, just need to broaden my selection pool)

Intercom for me is out as it's very pricey and unaffordable given I'm very early stage at this point.

Been quite happy with Drift.com (free tier... second venture using them, and we use them at work [paid] with great success).

They have a startup track similar to Intercom (costs 600$ bucks up front for the year, but it's at a deep discount).

Haven't used them but was seeing them pop up quite a bit a while back: Tawk.to

      wonderful suggestions, thanks @joshtronic!

Drift in particular looks really good. I need something that can work across both web and mobile and seems like Drift fulfills both these requirements.

Yeah, it looks great on mobile for your users/customers and the app is absolutely killer (lets me answer questions while on the road... on the can... etc :P)

If you happen to run into any other services, give me a shout! I'm actually looking for more of a answer bot as well as live chat, but that seems to be one of those features that's heavily guarded by the ol' pay wall with these services (and usually not at the 50$/month tier)

It's free and it's great. When I say free, I am not talking about a free plan. They make money from live chat agents, the live chat itself is free.

Hey @jasdeep, I'm actually close to finishing an intercom-like livechat feature for https://helpjoy.io/ if you want to give an indiehacker a try! Reach out if you'd like to have a quick chat.

I used Tidio - https://www.tidio.com for my shopify site, and so far I'm pretty impressed with the features and pricing. It's 15 for a basic plan for 3 people. They also have a pretty cool automation sequencing feature which is worth checking out.

I used Intercom for a year and then switched to Crisp.

When you get a few customers or a steady stream of leads and customer support becomes something you spend time every day doing, I would highly suggest Crisp or the Intercom Early-stage ($49/mo) plan. You're going to want to integrate helpdesk + email support + chat support and potentially some automated emails, otherwise you're going to waste a lot of time providing support vs. building/marketing/selling product.

However, early-stage / early on, Free and minimal are probably the features you're looking for. Don't over-think it, Crisp or small.chat will be perfectly fine.

I use https://small.chat and have been VERY happy with it. They have a generous free plan up to 10k visits, too. Does everything I've wanted from a chat widget with none of the extra stuff that gets in the way.

The thing I love the most is that the interface is Slack, which means I don't need to remember to log into yet another tool and it by default works on mobile.

They have a "startup discount" though, where they give you a full suite of their stuff for $50/month for a limited time

@jasdeep We have created a Helpdesk tool (cloudsprt.com) that can be integrated with PureChat (https://purechat.com/) and MyLiveChat(https://www.mylivechat.com/).

I would be interested in having a chat with you to see if we can help with your requirements.

@cw92 would definitely be interested in having a chat.

PS: When I visit cloudsprt.com I'm getting SSL certificate not valid warnings. https://imgur.com/a/iSYDqdK

@jasdeep Thank you for noticing that, I have now fixed it 🙂
