Suggestions on tool to let users provide feedback on MVP?

Hi all.

We have an MVP built and it's now being used by potential customers (very exciting). We have a good relationship and catch up every couple of days. They provide feedback via Skype sessions, and it's often divorced from their experience at the time of coming up with the feedback.

Are there any tools that I can embed inside my app (it's a React app fwiw) that allow them to write comments, take screenshots, add notes on particular flows etc? This would be useful because it attaches context to the comments they make, and allows us a talking point in our catchup sessions

Edit: I found https://usersnap.com/ which is interesting. This is what I had in mind. Are there any similar tools?

Edit 2: Also found https://marker.io/.

Thanks for the tool suggestions. I'll have to remember those!

That said, if you're collecting feedback via Skype right now, there is probably an incremental solution between 0 and third party service.

You could probably just drop in a form that collects feedback and saves it to your server. In my case, I have a "feedback" section in my settings portion of the app, and I just drop that into a firestore collection. You could make it even more readily accessible by just putting a floating "feedback" button component somewhere on the page that would open the form and submit the information back.

Don't know if this is still relevant, but my project https://cereo.io is currently in beta and is free to use.

It's a visual feedback and bug tracking tool that allows website visitors to provide feedback with annotated screenshots.

Feedback can be managed in the app or export to third party issue trackers. We currently support Github, Asana and Trello, with more to come in the near future.

I will be using https://typeform.com for my mvp soon. There's a free package.

I actually acquired the codebase for a product I want to pivot into the space 2 years ago, but haven't done anything with it to date. We should chat sometime. I'd love to learn more about your use case.

What is the MVP? Curious to check it out

      Hey Tyler.

It's a very obscure niche and will probably not be of interest. It's reporting software for ultrasound labs. Basically when you go for an ultrasound of the heart, the echo technician does the scan, and they write a report with the doctor. This report needs to use the measurements that were recorded by the machine, and also provide summary findings according to thresholds and rules that various organizations come up with. My tool helps speed the process of writing a report significantly (i.e. 20-30m to 2m).

That's basically the gist anyway. It's super niche but I think it solves a real pain point.

Oh interesting, that does sound like it is solving a very real problem
