App marketing can be tricky and this is definitely new to us, but we manage to get our first 300 downloads without spending any money π€
Now we have launch our first Facebook and Instagram campaign, just to test some stuff out. If you have any tips or tricks for app marketing in the travel sector, we will be happy to hear from you π
Hi Micheal, With so many taxi-hailing apps worldwide do people still face such issue. all major place are apps like Uber and others. How was the market research done and validated?
Also, try using Quora for the quality lead from questions asked from travellers.
All the best for your app :-)
P.S: I would really appreciate if you can help me with my landing page ( https://www.indiehackers.com/post/c9ccd0a126 ), thanks
Hi. Thank you for taking the time to post a comment :)
Good point with the "another taxi-hailing app" - let me explain.
Hagglestar was created in frustration over, never knowing what the right price was for a service in development countries. I do not mind paying a few % extra, being a tourist and all, I just donΒ΄t want to get screwed.
So, at the moment hagglestar is more a price calculation service then a taxi-hailing app (since you cannot book a ride)
Right now we are in the crossroad between:
Uber, Grab and GoJek are huge in Asia, but they are facing a lot of resistance by local taxi companies. If hagglestar can help local vendors in development countries regulate prices so tourist feels a bit more safe, I can definitely see a place for hagglestar in the future as well.
Thanks again for your feedback :)
Keywords. Can't stress this enough. We were able to get our first 100k downloads for DeepMeditate.com by optimizing for keywords in the app title and short description. App icon is super important after that.
Hi.. Thank you for the advise. Looking in App Analytics we can see that 59% of downloads comes from App Store Browse (which surprised me a lot). So keywords is definitely something we will keep looking at.
