Not sure this is right place for this discussion, but I was wondering if anybody here has experience hacking together a tabletop game? I've developed an MVP and even play tested it before Covid-19 with my friends who I play Settlers of Catan with. It still needs lots of work from balancing gameplay, to creating a good looking board to play on, customizing the game pieces, creating art, etc.
I've looked into a few sites (sorry I can't link until I have more reputation) that can be used to assemble stock game pieces:
boardgamesmaker dot com
thegamecrafter dot com
And found the following guide:
brandonthegamedev.com/start-to-finish-publish-and-sell-your-first-board-game/#design-develop
If wanted to build this out and do a Kickstarter, does anybody here have recommendations? I'm totally new to game dev, so please forgive any dumb questions I may have.
