Same here trying to get feedback and audience on reddit. Still struggle with kama, and not sure if I am going to get any true feedback on the product after that. I am lost in finding a good platform to shape the idea to fit the actual needs of people.

What are your initial thoughts on where to start engaging on reddit?

Honestly, I’m not too sure where to start yet. Everyone keeps telling me Reddit is the place to be, but I also keep hearing how important it is to respect the culture and rules of each subreddit, not to come off as spammy or get banned right away. So I feel like I need to spend a bit more time understanding how things work before I actually start posting or engaging more actively.

Well place to start is Sideproject and Sidehustle subreddits. Maybe even r/Entrepreneur if you log your progress as you do on Medium. But as you said, you have to pay attention to rules and adopt yout message to every subreddit.

Thanks, I will try to do this, we’ll see if it works.

Yes, I agree. If you do it right, Reddit can be a big help in promoting your product and getting feedback.

It took me four years to get enough karma so people wouldn't think I was a bot or something.

It's hard, but the struggle is worth it. The specific values you provide in each subreddit make a big difference.
