Tapdiv - mobile-first editor for creating CRUD web apps

Hi Indiehackers,

I created Tapdiv to scratch my own itch - hoping to prototype and iterate faster on whatever product ideas come to my mind. It's not currently productionized yet, so I made this demonstration video to share with you, partly to gauge interest, and partly to get feedback.

The demo shows how a barebones chat app can be created in under a minute, no coding expertise required. Admittedly, it's not a very good looking app - but hopefully I have done enough to demonstrate some of its core ideas.

I'm still iterating on the UX, with the hope of making it as easy to use as Canva. I'm quitting my job end of the month to work full time on this. Your feedback is very much appreciated!

Are you sure that your unique selling point ("mobile first editor") is at all valuable to customers?

There is pretty good reason why apps are consumed on mobile but produced on desktop ("mobile is where productivity goes to die").

I'd do some serious market demand validation before quitting your day job for this..

Hi Henri! Thanks for your comment! That is a legitimate concern, and one I've thought long about. There are precedences for mobile first editors, e.g Canva for picture editing, and Onuniverse for building websites. They're definitely mobile first, and quite popular/profitable.

Markets like China's also skipped the PC revolution entirely and went straight to mobile, so there's a lot of entrepreneurs who conduct their business on mobile. My working hypothesis is there's demand for easy creation of a certain class of apps (simple UI over spreadsheets or CRUD backend) in both the enterprise and SMB space.

I have a fair amount of runway so I'll be all right. I'll iterate on the product as I find product market fit.
