Target audience advice I wish I knew earlier

Over the past year I've probably had 30 ideas and launched pages for each of them, there's one advice about my target audience i wish i knew earlier before launching:

Create products for audiences who are familiar with paying!

A term i came across recently is the word "prosumer", basically a consumer who will pay for "parts of a product", tend to customise products, or they're looking to enhance their existing product/service with an add-on. A few examples being, keyboard enthusiasts, gaming streamers. You get the gist.

Once i truly understood this, i realised no matter how much i tweak my product, optimise funnels, put features behind a pay wall, a customer who is not use to paying will never pay. And if they do, it will be for incredibly cheap to the point it's not scalable, or once in a blue moon.

But a prosumer? They get it. They understand why they have to pay for an add-on service, or they're already actively paying for something where they see your service as just enhancing that other product.

I hope this insight has been helpful, I am currently in the midst of making a product for prosumers and hope to do a soft launch on IH soon
