Taught myself how to code to create a LinkedIn scheduling tool from Notion because I couldn’t find one to fit my needs

1 year ago I taught myself how to code to solve a problem I had: copying and pasting LinkedIn posts I wrote on Notion into scheduling tools.

So to solve that, I created ShareKit which, once linked to your LinkedIn and Notion accounts, allows you to schedule and publish posts directly from Notion!

At that same time I did a quick poll to see if my audience used Notion to draft LinkedIn posts too and asked if they would pay for such a tool, about 10 people replied they would. And that's how my journey started.

Learning to code has been a surprisingly exciting journey! So many things I want to code 😅

It’s the first time I’m posting on Indie Hackers and new to the whole thing – even though I wanted to be part of the cool kids for years – but finally did it!

How will I get my first users?
I’ll leverage my (small) community on LinkedIn (1200 followers) and target Notion users actively posting on LinkedIn.

My goal is to do 30 demos by the end of May and refine my product to better fit their use cases.
