Tech co-founder needed to help disrupt the freelance marketplace model

Hey, Everyone!

My name is Nick and I run a music-industry freelance website called Melody Nest. We host freelancers that sell various music-related services online. A quick pitch would be–we are Patreon meets Twine/Fiverr but for the music industry (and will expand into other creative industries as well).

The business has been picking up traction, good SEO growth, and currently has daily customers. Melody Nest is growing day by day, and I need a business partner to help move the company forward.

The vision here is simple–alter the freelance model into what creatives actually want. It's a need that's not being fulfilled and I have been studying this problem for a few years. Now is the time for a change.

I want to connect with someone that has a deep interest in online marketplaces, network effects, and hopefully knows a thing or two about the music industry. I am also open to discuss payment plans/vesting equity agreements for the right person!

Ideally, I want to start pitching to investors this year and need a tech-cofounder/CTO to help create the company into something great. My advisor has raised multiple rounds, so it won't take very long to get started.

Thank you!

As a musician, I instantly like the idea. Are you looking for any specific skills in your tech co-founder?

      Hey Pavo,

Yes, I am! I'm hoping to connect with someone that has built things in the past, is really proficient in at least one coding language, and can tell me where they think the technology should go.

If you want more specifics, I'm up for a call! Here's my email if you want to connect further: nick@melodynest.com

Hi Nick, thanks for reply. Quite natural for you to be looking for a coder at this stage, but it was worth asking anyway. I'm coming from infrastructure engineering background. My skills perhaps could be of use on later stage
