1. “Who are your users?”
- The actions of a user must be collected, interpreted and prioritized
- Drive product improvement
- Drive alignment between what a user does and what they would like to do
Product analytics solutions: Fullstory, June, PostHog, Snowplow
2. “How can you keep more of them?”
- Need to retain users long enough to make them meaningfully profitable
- Scalable methods to reduce churn: better customer onboarding, interactive product walkthroughs and proactive assistance without human interaction
- Important to access following metrics: Average Customer Lifetime and Net Revenue Retention
In-app experiences that guide(e.g. product tour), onboard and educate: Appcues, Apty, Chameleon, Simpo, UserPilot, Userlane
3. “How can you grow your user base most effectively?
- In a product-first world, leads qualify themselves
- Product usage data reigns (e.g. frequency of use or depth of use) - but most CRMs lack these functionalites
