[Tech/tools stack Advice please] - MVP for Health analytics Web app /website that has user login/backend/upload features?

Hi Aly,

I would be extremely careful about using no-code tools for storing medical data. I know for a fact that in Australia, all medical data related to Australian citizens needs to be stored in Australian servers located in Australia.

So if any of those tools store the data outside of AU, then you are already in breach of the law.

So if you use some webflow plugin to store data somewhere you need to be aware of the rules and regulations regarding this kind of data.

Another thing is that as soon as you get the data you are now responsible for keeping it private. That means if there is a breach, you ll need to disclose it to the authorities.

I am sure NZ has similar rules in place. I guess what I am trying to say is be careful.

Finally about the tech stack, I think you can achieve what you want with some no code tools but you ll be better off hiring a team of professionals for a month and use that as an MVP.

Basically, in a nutshell, we want to build a much nicer UI/UX version of this but for a different Health Niche

The above site has 1million users from 600 centres across NZ but I highly question the engagement but supposedly it has 1 million users (engagement metrics are questionable).

____Website Type Question

For the Tech crowd- what do you call a site that has membership logins for different but related users? I.e We all know the standard theres membership sites, content sites, sites with booking capabilities (plugins do that part).

E.g Normal membership sites are straight forward- create content, Tier based on price and a wordpress plugin stack and built on Wordpress CMS via Elementor etc.

BUT ->A website like the above - ManageMyHealth- what website type does that fall under where different but related users (patient and MD) can login to view information/data?

MVP Use cases fo each user:

I.e User 1- Patients can book appointments, have basic access to simple information

User 2 - MD- can see patients bookings and their schedule is updated accordingly.

Two separate logins but nonetheless, is this a complex membership stack that requires a developer or is their Wordpress plugins for this?

Also, I'm thinking of removing the Dr part and only focusing on the patient (For the MVP part since its the most critical assumption to validate).

Excuse my noobness but I'm a total non tech- only know basicWP, Elementor and more focused on User research, digital and market research/validation.

I was passing by and just saw you request, so thought I would share some info 😊
Looking at the tech you suggested, I guess your plan is to heavily rely on no-code tools.

I'd avise caution here, as it seems you have some deep technical needs nonetheless (extracting data from visuals, handling uploads, generating analytics, ...) and you're manipulating user medical information (which is regulated in many countries).
I feel you should definitely look into hiring or contracting with an engineer able to solve
the technical issues you will face, but in any case, let's try to at least clear your MVP.
Based on the MVP features above, here would be my take 👇

Website (Standard) => Webflow
Medical Library of Health Articles => Webflow CMS (if only articles) + Disqus (if willing to add interactions from users)
Login/backend for users to login, upload their health data (Often an excel file), scans (scaled down X-rays/etc) => either build a custom app or use integrations for webflow if you wish to stay no-code

Webflow is a powerful no/low-code tool that can solve pretty much everything you need at the stage of your MVP, so I'd go with this if you really need to go no-code.
Otherwise, I'd definitely build something custom for the backend part as it feels too sensitive IMO 😊
