Technical co-founder looking to partner up — 15+ years in telecom/cloud/security, now building end-to-end with AI
Hi Indie Hackers,
I'm Liviu, based in Bucharest, Romania. I'm looking to meet someone I might eventually build a company with.
I've had the entrepreneurial itch for probably 10–15 years, but if I'm being realistic about what happened, I kept gravitating toward the technical side.
I spent most of my free time learning new technologies, experimenting, and getting better at engineering. That also kept pushing my career forward.
My background went roughly:
So traditionally I've been the telecom / cloud / infrastructure / operations / security guy.
Software product development wasn't my professional background.
Around seven months ago I started building an open-source project called LoopTroop.
It started as an experiment and gradually became a substantial full-stack application for orchestrating AI-assisted software development.
While building it, I ended up working across much more of the product lifecycle than I had before:
I use AI agents heavily, but I'm the one defining the work, steering the implementation, reviewing the output, and verifying the result.
I'm not claiming that seven months of AI-assisted development suddenly gives me 10 years of professional software development experience.
It doesn't.
What has changed is how much of a product I can personally own.
I already had the infrastructure, production, reliability, security and cloud side. Now I can go much further into actually building the product as well.
And I discovered that I really enjoy it.
Building LoopTroop brought back that old interest in entrepreneurship that I'd mostly pushed aside while focusing on my technical career.
So I'm putting myself out there and seeing who I meet.
I'm interested in joining the right project as a technical co-founder, or potentially taking a founding CTO role where that makes sense.
I'm not looking for freelance or agency work.
My strongest traditional areas are:
Combined with AI-assisted product development, I'm now comfortable prototyping, building, deploying, operating and securing a product from the early stages.
I'm probably most useful in a small founding team where I can take broad ownership rather than staying inside one narrow engineering function.
I think I'd complement someone who is stronger on the commercial side than I am.
Maybe you have:
I'm much more interested in:
"I've worked in this industry for years, this problem keeps coming up, I've spoken to potential customers, and here's what I've learned."
than:
"I have an idea for an app and need someone technical to build it."
You don't need to have everything figured out. I certainly don't.
But there should be something behind the idea.
I'm fairly open, but there are some areas where my background could be especially useful:
That said, I'd rather work on an unglamorous problem with real customers than force myself into an AI startup just because AI is hot.
I'm currently employed full-time.
I'm not planning to quit my job after one interesting conversation.
I'd rather meet someone, understand the problem, see how we think together, and ideally build or validate something together before either of us makes a major commitment.
If we find a strong fit and enough conviction around what we're building, I'm open to transitioning full-time.
I'm also open geographically. Europe is obviously easiest, but I'm happy to talk with founders in the US or Asia if the working setup makes sense.

I'd particularly like to hear:
Happy to start with a conversation and see where it goes.
The strongest signal is the self-awareness around the co-founder fit. He is not looking for someone to hand an idea to; he already brings substantial technical ownership and is explicitly looking for commercial/problem expertise to complement it.
