Tell IH: Tool for Indie Hackers! (And what I learned building a solution to a non-problem)

I've learned a couple things along the way on building https://acct.watch.

1. Don't build a solution to a non-problem.
2. Don't tie your revenue exclusively to third-party platforms (I'll explain later).

What is it? I have a pretty common name. Getting the same handle on all my social media sites is next to impossible. I think I share the same sentiment with a lot of you, and I figured "hey! this is a great idea for a project!". I built the tool, bug tested, and learned a lot!

It was an interesting experience to code, but I realized somewhere along the way:

"I'm dependent on all these other platforms to make a single dollar"

I spent about three to fourth months (while working full time) building Acct.Watch, so I can't say it was a massive time investment. I have other projects I want to work on and have to "launch" this one. But what if you know there's very little market for your product? Can I even call it a product at that point?
