Test your website for bugs for free

Hey!

I've recently launched a startup in the cybersecurity niche and I have created a freebie, that can help you understand the security of your website better. I'd feel guilty if I only promote that, so here are some free tools that will boost the security of your website

Here is how you can protect your business from hackers for free:

  1. Install Cloudflare
  2. Scan your app with OWASP ZAP https://www.zaproxy.org/
  3. Scan your dependencies https://github.com/snyk/cli
  4. Scan your source code with https://semgrep.dev
  5. 30s attack vector scan https://scan.owloutreach.com/

I am launching my free tool today on PH, I would really love some support: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/owloutreach-scanner

Hi there! Congratulations on launching your cybersecurity startup, that's a great achievement. Thank you for offering a free resource to help people better understand the security of their website. I'm sure that will be very valuable to many.

As for free tools to boost website security, here are a few suggestions:

Let's Encrypt: This is a free, automated, and open Certificate Authority that allows you to obtain SSL/TLS certificates for your website. Having a secure HTTPS connection is essential for website security, and Let's Encrypt makes it easy and affordable to obtain and install these certificates.

Sucuri SiteCheck: This is a free website security scanner that checks your website for malware, blacklist status, website errors, and out-of-date software. This can help you identify security vulnerabilities on your website and take steps to address them.

WPScan: If you're using WordPress, WPScan is a free tool that scans your WordPress site for vulnerabilities. It checks for common vulnerabilities in plugins, themes, and WordPress itself and provides recommendations on how to fix them.

SSL Server Test: This is a free tool from Qualys that allows you to test the SSL/TLS configuration of your server. It will give you a grade for your SSL/TLS setup and provide recommendations on how to improve it.

OpenVAS: This is a free vulnerability scanner that can scan your website and server for vulnerabilities. It can be used to identify security issues in your system and provide recommendations on how to fix them.

I hope these tools are helpful to you and your website visitors. Good luck with your startup!
