Testing a “regulation-first” ADHD tool instead of another productivity app

Hi all,

I’m building a small product called ADHD Reset and would really value some honest feedback from other builders.

Most productivity tools assume clarity comes first. For many people with ADHD, it doesn’t. When overwhelm hits, task lists often make it worse rather than better.

So instead of building another planner, I’m testing something much simpler:

A lightweight daily reset tool that focuses on:

  • structured mental download

  • emotional check-in

  • reducing cognitive noise

  • identifying one realistic next step

No long onboarding. No complex system. No gamification.

The idea is “regulation before productivity.”

Right now this is very early-stage validation. I’m trying to answer:

  1. Is this meaningfully different from journaling apps?

  2. Is ADHD too narrow a niche or a strength?

  3. Would you position this as ADHD-specific or broader overwhelm / burnout?

Would love blunt feedback from anyone who has built in mental health, SaaS, or niche communities.

Thanks.

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. How are you currently thinking about acquiring early users and gathering feedback?
