TGIF Hustle: IH Daily Stand Up

Why?

That extra nudge of accountability to achieve even a small step on your IH journey each day.

To join in:

01 Share your epic (a big chunk of work with a meaty objective) you'd like to complete by the end of July.

02 Share what you accomplished yesterday.

03 Share what you commit to accomplishing today.

04 COMMNET on AT LEAST ONE fellow hacker's progress and give them an IH Point for their check in. Let's get in there with the encouragement/feedback!

Optional:

05 Share your Work In Progress to underscore your accomplishments.

Then tune in the tomorrow to share how you did on your own tasks!

    July

    • Get AutomatedApi to the sales block so I can get it off to the races

    DONE:

    • fought my way through one bit of functionality for client work, stage set for fast progress on the next ones
    • managed to implements user name setup on the new AutomatedApi portal and worked it into docker container stuff

    TODO:

    • client work slated for half day
    • (stretch) build a proper, though mostly empty, portal for logged in users to managed their APIs and access keys

    KUDOS:

@Harlem for fighting through to actually getting that home page done. You've got yourself of downright aggressive list of stuff to do.

@jpusateri how's the sales block coming?

      1. 1

It's going, few more bits to get in place before I put it's what I'll call actually ready for sale. New site with portal, fully implemented reverse proxy for the APIs so I can secure them and monitor usage for billing and limitations as needed, and full on testing of the API generator from end to end. Sounds like a lot, but I've got it pretty well broken into the small steps that'll get me across the finish line.

    Yesterday:

    • I started work on a feature that will allow me to differentiate Makers Part List from others like Instructables, and Hackaday.
    • Started thinking of other verticals to go after that have lots of DIY content. I started with woodworking cuz I had some fimilarility, but its not the biggest market. The best thing I've come up with is Food (like baking) or Make-up.

    Today:

    • Im going to work on finishing the new features front end it so it is ready for the start of Startup School on Monday.
    • Reach out to more creators see if I can get them to post content to MPL as well as their usuals.

Kudos: @Harlem these are great, thanks for keeping them going
