Fun article, thanks for sharing!
Several times I have seen how people want to return something to you, I as a law college student, had to write a project on gun violence which I mostly took from here https://studymoose.com/free-essays/gun-violence ; I understood that nothing with violence can be taken away, in the sense that morally you will remain poor anyway, if you want to enrich your thinking then you simply have to read a lot but not try to steal or hack something.
It's a good thing the hack was registered on a public ledger. Whether or not he should give it back though shouldn't really be in question. Sure, it's impressive - but it's an impressive steal. By the sounds of it, this was definitely calculated and I wouldn't be surprised if he had been planning this for a while.
It would take weeks to figure out precisely what had happened, but it appeared that the platform had been fooled into severely undervaluing tokens that belonged to its users and selling them to the attacker at an extreme discount. Altogether, the person or people responsible had made off with $16 million worth of assets.
Oh wow...part of me is impressed, part of me thinks he should give it back, but most of me thinks - "how the hell do you deal with this at 18?!"
