People stopped searching. They started asking AI. The next generation doesn't scroll ten blue links, they ask an assistant and trust the answer. If your work isn't where the AI reads, you don't exist in that answer.
So I built OrionReel: a short-video platform where every reel ships with a citable layer that LLMs can actually read. The video is for humans. The description is for AI. One post, two audiences, zero algorithm fighting for your reach.
Here is the part nobody else will show you. I don't ask you to trust a claim. In the last 11 days, AI crawlers hit OrionReel 878 times, all server-side verified by user-agent: GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Amazonbot, Meta-ExternalAgent, GoogleOther, PerplexityBot, CCBot, ChatGPT-User. 8 distinct bots. No estimates, no vanity numbers.
And it is public. Open it yourself right now:
orionreel.com/api/crawlers
That is a raw, auditable log. No login. If you are a dev and you think this is smoke, that link kills the argument in five seconds.
Every hour you wait, the assistants read someone else's reel instead of yours. The people who put their content where AI reads first get the early-content advantage, the same way early SEO did in 2010. This window closes.
If you have something worth recommending, put it where the machines are already looking.

You're right that crawl activity and citation are two different things, and I don't conflate them. That's exactly why I split the evidence into a ladder: Machine-readable > Crawled > Multi-sourced > Retrieved > Cited. Most crawler hits (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Amazonbot) are indexing, that's the "Crawled" rung, not proof of an answer.
But look closer at the log and you'll see ChatGPT-User and Perplexity-User hits in there too. Those user-agents are not indexing bots, they fire when a real person asks the assistant something and the model fetches the page live to answer. That's the "Retrieved" rung: a human question pulled OrionReel content into an AI's answer in real time.
The final rung, "Cited", where I can point to a specific AI answer naming an OrionReel post, that I'm still building detection for, and I won't claim a number I can't show you. It's a public endpoint too: orionreel.com/api/citations, and right now it's honest about what it does and doesn't have yet.
So the short version: crawled = proven and auditable, retrieved = happening (see the ChatGPT-User hits), cited = the bar I'm holding myself to before I claim it. I'd rather show you the ladder than sell you the top rung
