The AI version of Let me Google that for you (let me prompt that)

I still love Let me Google that for you, and I figured it'd be fun to hack together the AI version of it.

Introducing Let me prompt that (for you)

So me and a colleague spent an evening building it, named it Let me prompt that (for you), and gave it a home at letmepromptthat.com and letmepromptthatforyou.com

So next time a friend asks a silly or stupid question that is really just a simple prompt away do this: Go to the page, paste their question (prompt), submit it, and send them the permanent link to the prompt/answer. Then grin :D

Want to see it in action? Check what it says about "Is 'Let me prompt that for you' a good name for the AI version of 'Let me google that for you'?" :)

Hope you like it. We built it to dog food our fullstack dev platform Gadget.dev. Has focused primarily on Shopify apps, but you can build pretty much any web app in hours (like let me prompt that)

Could you please share how this is better than chatgpt. I do not understand why people are making apps for stuff you can do in chatgpt. Better to build a plugin to chatgpt if there is only value-add is prompts.

It's not about being better than chatgpt, just as Let me Google that for you isn't about being better than Google. It's a novelty, a fun thing.

If someone asks you a question they could have answered themselves by prompting ChatGPT, you can send them a link with the answer while sort of passive aggressively hinting at that -- "was it really that hard?!". It's just providing the answer with a wink.

oh.. so its really just a plug for your platform.
        sorta clickbait.

I stopped using google search from the day I purchased my chatgpt subscription.
