Hi hackers, i'm curious to know how many of you are using tools to stay on top of your SEO, and how often you're checking your SEO performance?
I've finally been ranked on google for some merch i'm selling, I regularly check google search console to see how it's doing. Also using google boolean search for backlinks or to see if somebody is mentioning my website on a forum
Also general SEO tips would be appreciated, thanks
For serious, high-volume SEO work, I like Ahrefs or SEMrush.
But, if you are just getting started, you might want to look for a lifetime access deal on AppSumo. Sometimes you can get lifetime access to track a small number of keywords for the same price as a month or two of service from the leaders.
Another option to build your familiarity would be to use Keywords Everywhere. The basic tool is free and you only pay for more research when you need it.
Now, as far as applying SEO... There have been some recent updates, Google and other engines are still weighing how to treat AI content and technical SEO standards are also undergoing some changes. I'd suggest reading Search Engine Journal and following Barry Schwartz on Twitter or LI to stay up to date. Aleyda Solís also posts good content.
I’d recommend looking into off-page SEO a bit more, especially around getting backlinks from real, high-authority blogs. I think this personal injury SEO resource could help you out, it’s aimed at law firms but has some serious gems on local domination and long-term credibility that you can apply anywhere
I built backlinkgpt.com to solve the tedious task of manual link building. It covers finding prospects, their contact info and generates highly personalized email messages!
Would love your feedback if you find it useful!
As someone who has conducted numerous SEO audits, I can confidently say that using a checklist can greatly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the process.
It is important to identify the key areas that need to be assessed such as website architecture, on-page optimization, content quality, technical SEO, and backlinks.
As you go through each item on the checklist, I document my findings and recommendations. This help keep track of what needs to be fixed and provides a clear roadmap for implementation.
One tool that I've found particularly helpful is Google Analytics, which provides valuable insights into user behavior and can help inform your SEO strategy. By tracking metrics such as bounce rate, time on page, and conversion rates, you can gain a better understanding of what's working on your site and where there's room for improvement.
Another method that I've found effective is conducting keyword research to identify high-potential keywords to target. By using tools such as Google Keyword Planner or Ahrefs, you can identify keywords that have a high search volume but relatively low competition, making it easier to rank for those terms and drive traffic to your site.
There are many different tools and methods available for optimizing your website for search engines. The key is to be strategic and focused in your approach, and to continually monitor and adjust your strategy based on data and feedback
