The Biggest Mistake I Made Building My First SaaS

When I started, I thought every new feature made the product better.

Now I think the opposite.

Every feature adds more decisions, more complexity, and more things users have to understand.

A product isn't valuable because it does more.
It's valuable because it solves one problem really well.

Lately, I've been asking myself one question before building anything:

Would I still build this feature if it doubled my development time?

If the answer is no, it probably isn't essential.

That mindset has helped me focus on what actually matters instead of chasing "nice-to-have" ideas.

It's also shaping how I'm building SimuLife AI. Instead of trying to become an all-in-one productivity app, I'm focusing on one core promise: helping people better understand where their current habits may be leading.
