The Bored Jar
I've always home educated our four children (now aged 7-14) and while they're pretty good at finding things to do, sometimes they just don't know. So several years ago they created a 'bored jar' - a jar containing slips of paper with activities on that they can draw from. I've always thought about turning this into a web app and finally got round to a prototype this morning.

It's a 'scratching my own itch' mainly, just for my own use I could see having different 'jars' for different age ranges, linking in to external web resources, allowing people to customise their own items in the jar, making it a way to save all those activities that look good and you might do 'someday'... also potentially being able to filter by the type of activity you're looking for or the time or resources you have available (so you could filter the jar based on 'screen free' or 'independent' vs 'with a parent' activities). It could also be a way to manage a home school schedule by pulling out a math or writing activity.
Also, does anyone has suggestions for the tech to produce this properly? I've literally just found a spin wheel tutorial and adjusted it for my own use right now. I'd love to use this as a learning project.

But I think this was super fun and useful.
Currently, I spend some time every evening going through activities that I have made in my own activities jar (for me it's a box), but once that runs out, I would love to continue with yours! :)
I also liked the categories of activities that you had. Plus having it as a web solution is great because then I could co-ordinate choosing an activity with a friend (while chatting online) and then doing it at the same time (in these physical distancing times).
