First and foremost, thanks @rosiesherry. I am grateful for being given the opportunity to run this brand new Social Entrepreneurship group.
I am so excited to know more how we are making a difference in people's lives. From some discussions on IH, I see most of indie hackers are doing good (want to do so) in some form.
There are a vast array of companies, people's stories, books, movies, interesting articles. Feel free to join the group and share here.
It's also clear to me that we need to debunk some myths like social enterprises are non-profit companies.
This opportunity comes in perfect timing. as I wrote here, what I want to my future is to make a difference in people's lives.
I'm longing to learn more from you, Indie hackers.
Yesss! I've been wanting to find a community of social-good entrepreneurs! So excited for this group 👏
Me too!!
I’m also excited to see like-minded people improving people’s lives through businesses
I'm looking forward to this group.
I read and studied lots about social entrepreneurship a few years back, much of what was built at Ministry of Testing had many 'good' things built into the culture.
Would love to hear more about this at some point!
Hie Leo, much needed. Thanks for opening the group. These days I feel many IH ventures are all about solving someones (irrelevant) problem for the sake of growth doing SaaS. So exciting to see the IH movement going beyond SaaS and creating real social, environmental value… what are you currently working on?
So ... what's up with this community? Would love to get an understanding of how you're currently relating to it, @Leo.
Thanks for starting this Leo! Been doing this for a while, so glad to now have a little community to chat to!
You can also post your project in the other thread
